Passkey help
Passkeys let you sign in using your device, security key, or password manager. Where your passkey is available depends on where you saved it.
Recommended passkey manager
Jamestown recommends Proton Pass for storing passkeys and keeping them available across your devices.
Proton Pass is available for iOS and Android and all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Brave.
Sign in on this device
- Open the sign-in page and continue to your browser's passkey prompt.
- Choose Proton Pass, this device, another device, or a security key.
- If Proton Pass does not show your passkey, make sure it is installed, unlocked, signed into the correct account, and syncing.
Set up another phone or computer
This creates a new passkey. It does not transfer or reveal an existing one.
- On a device where you are already signed in, open Home → Passkeys.
- Select Add on another device.
- Open the one-time link on the intended device within ten minutes and save the new passkey when prompted.
Treat the setup link as sensitive. Open it only on the device where you intend to create the passkey.
No passkey works
If another signed-in session remains, use it to add a passkey. Otherwise, ask a Chapter administrator to reissue your account. An administrator cannot recover or view an old passkey.
